Emergency Medicine physician Dr. Mayland has joined the caregivers in the Emergency Department at Winona Health and provides skilled care for patients in critical situations.
“I like rural healthcare,” said Dr. Mayland. “In bigger systems, it’s easy to feel lost. Here, I work with other caregivers to provide focused care for patients in critical situations, while encouraging them to connect with their primary care providers for ongoing health needs.”
Mayland earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences in Des Moines, Iowa and his Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from Mankato State University, Mankato, Minnesota.
“In the ED, every moment matters, and so does your peace of mind. My approach is simple: be honest, be clear and provide the care you need when you need it most. I’ll walk you through what’s happening, explain your options, and make sure you understand the next steps. My goal is for you to feel supported, informed and confident about your care,” stated Mayland.
In his free time, Mayland enjoys spending time with his five children, working on cars, golfing, and taking motorcycle trips as a member of the “Mild Hogs” motorcycle group.
