Dropped from Your Medicare Advantage Plan? We Can Help.
October 31, 2025
We know there’s been a lot of confusion around Medicare Advantage plans, so I want to make it clear what this means for our community.
Two plans — Quartz and UCare — have notified individuals that they are leaving Winona County. That change impacts about 2,400 people locally.
If you are one of those affected, you will need to choose a new plan. The good news is that there are many other Medicare Advantage options available that include Winona Health in-network — in fact, all remaining plans except Quartz and UCare continue to include us.
Plans like Blue Cross, UnitedHealthcare, and HealthPartners, among others, are still available and accepted here. We participate in all of those plans to ensure you can continue receiving your care at Winona Health without interruption.
If you don’t make a new plan choice during open enrollment, Medicare will automatically move you to traditional Medicare, which could mean higher out-of-pocket costs.
We understand this change is disruptive, and we’re here to help you navigate your options so you can keep the care and providers you know and trust.
