Katy Anthony, PA-C, joins Orthopedics team

Winona native Katy Anthony, PA-C, has joined the caregivers at Winona Health and is now seeing patients in Orthopedics & Sports Medicine.

With a special interest in sports medicine, Katy enjoys helping people of all ages—athletes, weekend warriors, and anyone recovering from injury—get back to doing what they love, with personalized care that supports their goals and lifestyle. “Helping someone go from being in pain to regaining their strength and confidence is incredibly rewarding,” she said.

Katy grew up surrounded by healthcare. Her mother worked for three decades at Winona Health, and her father’s medical journey gave her an early appreciation for compassionate, patient-centered care. “Healthcare was always part of my life—it just felt natural to go into a caring profession,” she explains. For Katy, caring for patients in her hometown is especially meaningful. “I grew up here—it really feels like coming home.”

Anthony works closely with orthopedic surgeon Andrew Millis, MD, and the entire care team to guide patients through both surgical and nonsurgical recovery, coordinate post-op care, and support each patient’s individual goals.

Katy takes a collaborative, listening-first approach, helping patients understand their bodies, their recovery process, and how to stay active safely. “I like to let patients tell their story—how their injury happened, how it’s affecting their life. You can learn so much just by listening. My goal is to make every person feel heard, supported, and part of their own care.”

Anthony earned her degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Des Moines University in Des Moines, Iowa and is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She is a member of the Minnesota Academy of Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Physician Assistants.

When not caring for patients, Katy enjoys rock climbing, mountain biking, paddling, ice climbing, and exploring the outdoors with her husband, son, and their dog.
