Colon health might not usually come with a walk-through experience, but starting Tuesday, March 17, it does. An unusual and interactive exhibit will be located at the Winona Clinic entrance, giving the community a fun and memorable way to learn about colon health and the importance of colon cancer screening.
Inside this larger-than-life display, visitors can walk through the colon and view what a general surgeon might see, including common conditions such as polyps, inflammation, and colon cancer. The exhibit shows how these conditions develop and why early detection through screening matters.

A larger-than-life interactive colon exhibit at Winona Health provides a fun way to learn about colon health and the importance of colon cancer screening.
Signs of colorectal cancer can include changes in bowel habits, blood in the stool, diarrhea, or constipation. While maintaining an active, healthy lifestyle can help reduce risk, colorectal cancer can also have genetic components, making routine screening especially important.
Colon cancer is one of the most preventable cancers when caught early. Educational events like this help start conversations and encourage people to take proactive steps toward their health.
Take a walk through the giant colon! Community members of all ages are welcome, and children must be accompanied by an adult.
