IN THE NEWS: What started in repurposed classroom spaces is now serving students at the Winona Senior High School through a school-based health clinic focused on making care easier to access.
In our Winona Health School-Based Health Clinics, students can walk out of class and into appointments for counseling, physicals, medication follow-ups and mental health support.
Inside the WSHS location, care is provided in a space designed to feel welcoming, calming and supportive.
One of the newest additions is a mural created by Winona Health mental health counselor Celeste Sullivan, who also works with students through the school-based clinics. The artwork brings themes of health, community, movement and connection into the space, helping create an environment that feels less clinical and more comfortable for students seeking care.
As the need for mental health support continues to grow, these clinics are helping reduce barriers to care while supporting students where they already are — at school.
