American society for quality members visit winona health’s new simulation lab.
Our Continuous Systems Improvement & Innovation caregivers recently welcomed members of the Winona/La Crosse American Society for Quality (ASQ)* chapter to learn about innovation at Winona Health.
They opened the program with an overview of our Mission, Vision and Values, shared our We Are Winona video, and presented how we’ve used our Production – Preparation – Process (3P) tool to shape projects like our Pharmacy consolidation and Lab automation.
Learning & Development caregivers gave a tour of our new Sim Lab, including demonstrating our high-fidelity Manikins and sharing how this new community resource and these high-tech “patients” enhance student and caregiver training. They wrapped up the program with a brief tourniquet training (to stop bleeding), during which attendees learned, and practiced, potentially life-saving skills.
