When deciding what area to work in, I first thought I wanted to specialize. I soon realized that I wanted to be somewhere where I was involved in all areas of medicine—primary care, urgent care, hospital or ER. I really like Urgent Care because you’re there for people in a scary moment. It’s about being able to help people when they’re confused or in pain versus just during a regular checkup. You’re meeting them where they’re at, and then getting them where they need to go.
