Srilekha Bathi, MD, joins Internal Medicine team

Srilekha Bathi, MD, has joined the caregivers at Winona Health and is now seeing patients in Internal Medicine.

Dr. Bathi chose a career in medicine because it offers the opportunity to help people. “I want my patients to feel comfortable and involved. I take everything they share into account, discuss their options, and work together to create a plan that fits their needs,” said Bathi.

Bathi practices Internal Medicine with a focus on preventive care. “Patient education is very important to me — I want patients to fully understand their health and feel confident in the decisions we make together,” she noted.

Bathi earned her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from the University of West Indies, St. Augustine; and completed her residency at Howard University in Washington, DC. Outside of work, Bathi enjoys reading, hiking, and journaling.

Her medical interests include women’s health and gastroenterology. “Over the years, I’ve seen how important it is for women’s medical concerns to be taken seriously. My commitment is to listen closely to my patients, support them, and partner in their care. I want my patients to know they are respected, understood, and cared for in a safe, open space,” stated Bathi.
