School-Based Health Clinics: Flu Clinic Days October 27-28

Parents love the convenience: Skip the extra trips and time off work! Winona Health School-Based Health Clinics bring trusted healthcare right to your child’s school. Your student can get everything from routine checkups to immunizations without leaving school. Insurance works just like a regular clinic visit.

Where we’re located: We currently offer on-site clinics at:

• Winona Senior High School
• Winona Middle School
• Winona Area Learning Center
• Jefferson Elementary

What we offer—right at school:

• Physicals: Routine, sports and well-child exams
• Immunizations: Flu, HPV, Tdap, meningitis and more
• Minor illness and injury care: Earaches, sore throats, infections, cuts, rashes, menstrual problems, birth-control counseling
• Medication follow-ups: ADHD, anxiety, depression and other conditions
• Mental health support: Early intervention, counseling, treatment, referrals for stress, family/relationship issues, academic challenges, and future planning

How it works:

• Cost: Billed to your insurance just like a regular clinic visit
• Who Can Use It: Using the school-based health clinics is unrelated to income. People at every income level can use the onsite clinics
• Open to All Families: Available to any student enrolled at a school with an on-site clinic
• Consent: Students under 18 need parental consent for most services; some confidential services allowed by law
• Parent Involvement: Attend in person, by phone, or just get updates before and after the visit

It’s flu season: Is your student protected? Every year, health officials advise that everyone age 6 months and older be vaccinated against the flu. Getting vaccinated not only helps protect you from the flu, it helps protect everyone you come in contact with.

  • October 28, 2025, Winona Senior High School
• Open to all WAPS students. Please dress in clothing that will allow for quickly exposing the upper arm.
• Insurance accepted; cost is the same as a regular visit
