Did you know? Winona Health participates in an Accountable Care Organization (ACO)

July 6, 2026

At Winona Health, we’re committed to helping you get the right care, at the right time, in the right place. That’s why we participate in an Accountable Care Organization (ACO).

An ACO is a group of doctors, hospitals, and other healthcare providers who work together to coordinate care for Medicare patients. By sharing information and working as a team, healthcare providers can help reduce unnecessary duplication of services, improve communication, and support better health outcomes.

What does this mean for you?

  • Your Medicare benefits do not change.
  • You can continue to see any doctor, hospital, or healthcare provider that accepts Medicare.
  • Your choice of providers is not limited.
  • Coordinated care helps ensure you receive the care you need while avoiding unnecessary repeat tests or services.

As part of Medicare requirements, we are notifying patients of our participation in an ACO. Most importantly, the trust you place in us remains at the center of everything we do.

Thank you for choosing Winona Health. We appreciate the opportunity to care for you and your family.
