As Winona Health continues to celebrate 130 years of community collaboration and connection in 2024, we look back on this more recent milestone when Winona Health Rehabilitation Services and Sports Therapy opened its doors in the Winona Family Y at 902 Parks Avenue, on December 14, 2020.
“This space continues to allow us to provide outstanding rehabilitation services. Partnering with the Winona Family Y gives our patients an excellent option for continuing getting stronger and improving their health outside of therapy,” said Lucas Barbknecht, PT, DPT, Orthopedics & Aquatic Therapy and Rehabilitation Services co-manager. “Many of our patients decide to join the Y because of their exposure to the beautiful facility while receiving rehabilitation therapy after an injury or surgery. We encourage patients to exercise on a regular basis and the YMCA provides a fantastic option for them to do that.”
Fun facts: The Winona Family Y has been serving community members since 1886. Winona Health has been caring for the community since 1894 – that’s that’s 130 years of care!
