I am a general surgeon, certified by the American Board of Osteopathic Surgery. Surgery drew my interest early in my medical educational training. This field allows me to draw from a knowledge base while using a skill set and my hands to help people. General surgery itself is a particularly diverse field including many different organ systems. General surgeons see problems involving the gastrointestinal system (esophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon/rectum/anus, gallbladder, pancreas and others), the breast, hernias, the endocrine organs (thyroid, adrenals, etc.), the skin and others. No two days are alike. My greatest pleasure comes from taking patients thru the process. I enjoy meeting new people, educating them about their disease process and working with them to execute that plan and help them become better. Helping others is a passion and medicine/surgery is my way of carrying out that passion.
