

Jennifer Forsyth, DO, a Family Medicine physician and Mary Kramer, CNP, who are both focused on geriatric care, will administer the in-home vaccines to those eligible throughout the Winona Health service area in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
“We want to ensure that everyone who wants to be vaccinated can get vaccinated,” said Robin Hoeg, RN, MSHA, chief operating officer, Hospital & Primary Care Services at Winona Health. “We’re fortunate to have Dr. Forsyth and Mary on our healthcare team. They are fantastic healthcare providers and this is one of the ways we can help protect those in our community from the worst outcome should they be exposed to COVID-19 virus.”
The type of Vaccine (Pfizer, Moderna, J & J) given will depend on availability. COVID-19 vaccinations are given at no charge to the recipient.
Who is eligible to receive an in-home vaccination? Individuals who are covered by Medicare who may have difficulty traveling to a site to receive the vaccine.

For others who would still like to get vaccinated: Anyone age 12 or older can get a COVID-19 vaccination in Urgent Care or whenever or wherever they receive care at Winona Health, 855 Mankato Avenue in Winona.
Patients can also request the COVID-19 vaccine during a regularly scheduled appointment in any department.
A reminder to those coming to Winona Health for any reason: The CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) has emphasized that its new masking recommendations for people fully vaccinated against COVID-19 do not apply to healthcare settings. This means everyone must continue to wear a mask when coming in to Winona Health, regardless of their vaccination status.
