We recently gathered to celebrate Marybeth Polus, whose career serving our community spans four decades. After graduating from Winona State University, Marybeth joined Winona Health and continued to grow with our organization and our community’s needs. Her fellow caregivers say she is positive, compassionate and reassuring, and she brings out the best in everyone. She has a great sense of humor and is the light in everyone’s day. She is a wonderful nurse and mentor – a life-long learner and teacher – sharing what she learns with others and always ready to help. As a hospice caregiver, Marybeth has touched, and has been touched by, countless lives. She has been there for individuals and families in the moments that mattered. What an honorable legacy. Although now retired, Marybeth will continue to be a caregiver on call. We wish her many happy days with her children and grandchildren, cheering on her grandson’s Hockey team, enjoying get-togethers with her family and spending time in her garden. Thank you, Marybeth, for more than four decades of growing with Winona Health and serving our community. We Are Winona. And you are forever part of our story.
