Dubis_Small_RgbAfter caring for patients as part of Winona Health’s Hospitalist team since 2013, Laura Dubis, a certified physician assistant (PA-C), is joining the staff in Winona Health’s Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine department. “I’m looking forward to the opportunity to help kids develop healthy habits that start at a young age and that will eventually influence their health as adults.” said Dubis. “I had a great relationship with my Pediatrician growing up and she was actually the person who inspired me to pursue a career in healthcare. It would be amazing if I had the same impact on even one of my patients!” Reflecting on why she chose Winona Health in 2013, she said, “Winona was like a second home. I grew up in Rochester and have family here in Winona. I have found that I absolutely love working in a smaller community hospital setting. It is great being able to get to know all of the staff here on a more personal level and it feels like one big family. Dubis is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Marietta College in Marietta, Ohio. Dubis earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. Dubis joins pediatricians Sarah Lallaman and Kelli Ostermann and certified nurse practitioner Autumn Cole in the Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine department at Winona Health.
