People who need anesthesia during surgery or other care for pain prevention or relief are under some level of stress, and it’s important to acknowledge that. I focus on their specific needs while getting to know them and building rapport so they know they will be safe in my care. I hope they sense that I have a kind heart and that their well-being is my entire focus.
