I had my first major surgery in 2009 and several re-injuries later, I finally found the perfect doctor to fix my ankle and make it whole again. I had the most amazing staff taking care of me. Dr. Donnenwerth is so knowledgeable and was fantastic at explaining my surgical plan as well as the recovery process. He has answered every question, and I have so much respect for him. He is an incredible physician and the staff at Winona Health have been amazing as well! For the first time in over a decade, I’m not looking at the ground when I run to make sure I am not going to encounter something that will make my ankle roll.
