Mental Health Pre Licensure Counselor/Therapist Celeste Sullivan, MS, has joined the caregivers in Winona Health Psychiatric and Counseling Services.
Sullivan provides mental health counseling for a broad range of issues including anxiety and depression, disordered eating, body-image challenges, relationship and family concerns, post-traumatic stress disorder and trauma.
“Each person’s experiences and background are unique, I help my clients accept their emotions are valid, contain helpful information when explored and are deserving of respect throughout the healing process.” said Sullivan
Sullivan has a special interest in a holistic or integrative approach to mental health care, which factors in how nutrition and movement affect mental health.
“Life-altering changes can be made step by tiny step; changes don’t have to be drastic,” said Sullivan. “I’m inspired by the amazing ability of our bodies and minds to grow and heal.”
Sullivan completed her Clinical Internship at Winona Health. She earned her Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Winona State University in Winona, Minnesota. She is also certified as a health coach by the Institute of Integrative Nutrition and operated her business, The Kitchen Coach, for seven years while also serving as a health coach and direct care specialist for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In addition, she has a Bachelor in Fine Arts from The University of Wisconsin-Stout in Menomonie, Wisconsin. She has also volunteered with Miller Mentoring and Kids First.
Sullivan enjoys spending time with her husband and their dog, roller skating around the lakes, making stained glass windows, painting, going to estate sales and swimming in Lake Superior when spending time up north.
