Relationships, memories and making a difference to others enrich and add meaning to our lives. We are grateful to all of you who demonstrate this by caring and giving through our annual Winona Health Trees of Light campaign and at other times through the year.

It is heartwarming to see the names and remember the people being honored year after year – and those being honored or remembered for the first time. In 2023, gifts given through the Trees of Lights campaign totaled $48,345. Thank you!

When you and your loved ones are part of our Trees of Light tradition, or give to the Winona Health Foundation in any way, you’re making a positive difference in our community and you are also supporting Winona Health’s Mission to inspire, recognize, and empower the caregiver in all of us.

Gifts to the Winona Health Foundation go toward supporting programs of each donor’s choice, including:

  • Our local hospice program that supports individuals and families through an emotional and challenging experience.
  • The Ben and Adith Miller Patient Care Fund for those who find themselves with medical bills they are unable to pay.
  • The area of greatest need, so we have the flexibility to direct supplemental funds where they are needed most. (A list of fund options is available on our website: Winona Health Foundation or by calling our Foundation office at 507.494.7384 or sending a message via email to foundation@winonahealth.org.)

We are grateful to all who choose to support local healthcare with a gift of any amount. In the broadest and deepest sense, we see you as fellow caregivers. An amazing example of this is recent gifts to our dialysis program from donors who wish to remain anonymous.

Philanthropy means the love of humanity, and I believe that everyone who gives is a philanthropist. On behalf of Winona Health and the Winona Health Foundation, please accept our deep gratitude to all who give through our annual Trees of Light tradition and in other ways throughout the year.
